"We should buy a beach house," Amelia said, and thus our journey into Short-term Rentals began!

We purchased a beautiful property in Surf City, NJ, as close to the ocean as we could afford, and named it 'The Turtle & The Sloth' after our two daughters. Natalia earned her nickname at birth because she looked like a fuzzy turtle to her dad. Amelia grew into her nickname when she, as a teenager, slowed to a sloth's pace when tasks were at hand. We realized our daughters' spirit animals perfectly represented the relaxing, laid-back vibe we wanted for our beach house, and so The Turtle & The Sloth was born.

"Now we should buy a mountain home," said Amelia when she learned to ski.

This led us to our next adventure, purchasing 'The Otter Lodge.' Our inspiration came from the previous owner, who shared delightful photos of otters playing in the half-acre pond. We envisioned The Otter Lodge as the ideal retreat for large families and groups to vacation together, much like we do with our own extended family. We're fortunate that Ashita's brother, sister, and parents live close by. As our children grew, we saw the positive impact of frequent family visits and vacations. The layout of The Otter Lodge mirrors an AirBnB we adored in Napa during COVID—a beautiful, relaxing trip that brought us closer together. We want The Otter Lodge to offer that same memorable experience to our guests.

With the success of The Otter Lodge, we received numerous requests to host special events like weddings, reunions, anniversaries, and milestone birthdays.

This inspired us to create a direct booking site, 'Timeless Gatherings,' to make it easy for families and friends to celebrate life's special moments together. Our goal is to provide a cost-effective, hassle-free way for loved ones to gather and create cherished memories at our beloved properties.
